Eid al-Fitr will be held in Saudi Arabia on Sunday


Eid al-Fitr will be held in Saudi Arabia next Sunday as the moon of Shawwal month is not visible on Friday. As a result, there are 30 fasts this time.

The month of Ramadan will be 30 days long in Turkey, Indonesia and Australia as the Shawwal moon will not be seen on Friday (May 22).

Turkey has said that the holy Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated next Sunday as the moon of Shawwal is not visible in the sky of the country.

According to the Indonesian Astronomical Center, Eid-ul-Fitr will also be celebrated there on Sunday.

The Australian National Imam Council says Saturday will be the last day of Ramadan. And Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on the first day of Shawwal on Sunday.

In keeping with Saudi Arabia, Eid will also be celebrated in the Indian state of Kerala on Sunday. The rest of the states of the country like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Malaysia and the rest of Asia are likely to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday. Source: Arab News
