5 runs fine for spitting; There is a 'corona transfer'

The ICC Cricket Committee, headed by Anil Kumble, had suggested a ban on the use of spit for ball polishing as a precaution against the corona virus. This time the proposal has been accepted by the executive committee of the ICC, the highest body of cricket. If the rule of not spitting is broken, the concerned party will be warned. Besides, some more amendments have been made. The 'corona transfer' system is going to be introduced. The ICC's cricket operations team will help the match referee decide if a cricketer violates the code of conduct.

The new ICC rules state that if a cricketer spits, the team will be warned twice in each innings. If the incident is repeated after that, then 5 runs will be added to the scoreboard of the batting team as a penalty. If you use spit, the game will not start until the ball is clear. If a cricketer's corona is caught during a Test match, that team can take a replacement cricketer. In this case the rules will be like 'Conclusion Sub'.

The cricketer to be replaced must also be in the same category. For example: batsman should be taken as a replacement of batsman, bowler or wicketkeeper cannot be taken. However, this rule only applies to tests. There is no replacement cricketer in ODI and T20. It has been decided in the talks that in international cricket, work will be done with domestic umpires. Because many countries still have restrictions on travel. How long it will last is uncertain.

The ICC also has guidelines for the selection of umpires. Matches can be conducted with local umpires, but those umpires must be from the ICC elite panel. The ICC believes that in many cases the number of wrong decisions will increase if less experienced umpires are in charge. To solve this problem, the number of DRS or reviews is being increased. From now on DRS can be taken in test 3 times. White ball cricket can be taken twice.
