Microsoft is closing all stores around the world

US technology company Microsoft has decided to permanently close all stores around the world. A statement from the agency said on Friday.

Microsoft, like other companies, temporarily closed all its stores at the end of March due to the Corona infection. The doors of these stores will never open again.

According to the company's website, Microsoft has a total of 63 stores worldwide. Of these, 72 are in the United States alone. The rest are scattered in different countries. In all these stores they sell and display various laptops and hardware. According to Microsoft, their retail business is now largely dependent on online. That is why they have commented that all these stores are being closed 'instead of tactics'.

Meanwhile, in addition to the company's headquarters in Washington, it has stores at high-profile Microsoft Experience Centers in New York, London, and Sydney. The company has started thinking anew about them.

Due to the corona infection, various companies have radically changed their business tactics. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. However, software giant Microsoft has assured that no employee will lose his job even if the store is closed. They said that every employee working in all these stores will be given an alternative job opportunity.

Microsoft said it would charge a pre-tax charge of 5 cents per share (৪ 450 million) to close the store. The charges are expected to be reflected in the financial results for the current quarter ending June 30, they said. Sources: News Microsoft, Technica, The Verge
