Confessional statement in court that he killed his elder brother for only 100 rupees

A younger brother has given a confessional statement in court killing his elder brother for only one hundred rupees. After the murder, the body of the elder brother was left inside the restaurant and the younger brother took a bath at home. Even the elder brother did not return home at night and went out to look for him with his father. Such a brutal murder took place in Mugda of the capital.
The deceased was identified as Jiban Ghosh, 29, and his younger brother Rajib Ghosh, 24. The murder took place on May 8 inside a shop called 'Jeevan Food Fantasy' at 93 / A North Mugda in the capital.
After the murder, the victim's father Narayan Ghosh filed a murder case against the unidentified persons at Mugda police station. He complained in the case, "On January 10, I rented the ground floor of a house in North Mugda and started a shop called 'Jeevan Food Fantasy' in the name of my eldest son." Where iftar items are sold. I would go to the store occasionally.

My two sons Jiban Ghosh and Rajib Ghosh used to run the shop regularly. During Ramadan, two brothers sell Iftar items, settle accounts and close the shop at around 7/8 pm. Like every day, on May 7, my youngest son Rajiv Ghosh went to the shop at 11 am to make iftar.

About half past one that day, my eldest son Jibon had lunch and took rice from home for his younger brother. At around 6 pm, my step-son Mithun Ghosh went to the shop with Tk 15,000 from home to pay the rent and electricity bill. He gave the money to Jiban Ghosh and went to his friend Ratan's house with Iftar.

After the sale of Iftar by Jibon and Rajib, the younger brother Rajib went home. After his mother opened the door, Rajiv hurried to the bathroom. When Rajiv came out of the bath I asked him, ‘Where is life?’ He then informed me, ‘Life has come out with a lock on the back gate of the shop, he has come to see the gate locked.’

There is a separate gate at the back of the shop. Since we don't have money in my mobile, I got the number of the tenant of the house next door at around 8.45 pm when I called Jeevan's mobile. I think maybe the charge of the mobile is over so the mobile is off. Or life has turned off the mobile.

It was raining a lot outside, maybe he was trapped, unable to come home. At around 9 pm, my youngest son Rajiv and I went out of the house to search for life with the duplicate keys of the shop. Rajiv opened the shutters of the shop, turned on the lights and shouted, "There is no father or brother." At that time I was a little far from the shop. Hearing the little boy scream, I hurried to the store. When I went inside the shop, I saw the body of life lying on the floor of the shop. Blood all around.

The hand-wiping towel kept in the store is wrapped around the neck of life, a deep wound on the back of his head. Bleeding from that wound. When I started shouting, people gathered around me. After receiving the news, Mugda police came. '

Police collected footage from all CCTV cameras in the area of the murder. Also reviews mobile tracking and footage. Many members of the family, including Rajiv and Mithun, the younger brothers of the deceased, were interrogated.

Mugda police inspector (operation) said. Masudur Rahman said they reviewed the CCTV footage of the building opposite the scene to identify the killer. Review shows that the movement of Rajiv's younger brother Rajib at that time was suspicious. He left the shop and threw bricks. He looked unprepared. His behavior was not normal. He even went home and said that his elder brother had closed the shop. But CCTV cameras showed Rajiv closing the shop. After that, the police started investigation suspecting some more issues. Rajiv was arrested after the evidence matched.

Investigating officer SI Rahidul Islam said the accused Rajib Ghosh hit his own elder brother inside the shop with a brick from behind for just Rs 100, first hitting him hard on the head more than once and then suffocating him with a towel. After killing his brother, Jiban left Ghosh's dead body inside the shop. He locked the shutters of the shop and threw the bricks used in the murder on the street and the key of the shop inside the manhole and went home to take a bath.

He added that the investigating officer of the case seized several clues from the spot. According to Rajiv Ghosh, blood-stained bricks and a vest he was wearing at the time of the murder were seized from the bathroom of the house. Rashed Hasan, senior assistant commissioner (AC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Sabujbagh zone, said he made a confessional statement to the court on May 9 after arresting Rajib Rajib Ghosh on the night of May 8. He is currently in jail.
