Six people, including two army personnel, died in Corona in Bangladesh

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a total of 345 people, including former and current members of the armed forces, civilians and their families, have recently contracted the corona virus and sought treatment at the Dhaka CMH.

The information was given in a circular signed by Assistant Director Rashedul Alam Khan on behalf of the ISPR director.

The ISPR said in a statement to the media on Monday that two of the six killed were serving army personnel and the remaining four were retired members in their seventies. Each of them was suffering from 'incurable physical complications'.

So far, 8 people have returned home fully recovered, the statement said. Others hospitalized are also 'healthy'. With the onset of corona virus infection in Bangladesh, the army has taken adequate measures to treat the members of the armed forces infected with corona. In this context, necessary steps were taken in the CMHs of all cantonments including Dhaka CMH.

According to ISPR, three RT-PCR labs at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) and 10 RT-PCR labs at CMH in other cantonments have corona virus testing for "authorized" members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces and their families.
