Dipan's hand in Poramon 2's drive-in show in Australia

The movie is shown on a huge screen in a vast open field. There is no seating for visitors! Because that's who will sit in the car and enjoy the movie in a row.

Thus the method of showing the movie is called drive-in show. In the West, watching movies like this has been around for a long time.
So far, movies from many countries have been shown in this popular way. However, no Bengali movie has been screened like this before. This time with ‘Poramon 2’ there is going to be a drive-in show of any Bangladeshi movie. It has been organized in Sydney, Australia by Bangla Drive-in Movies (BDM), a new Bengali movie screening company by Dipankar Dipan, the famous producer of 'Dhaka Attack'. The other two founders are Waheed Siddiqui, an IT expert from Sydney, and Akash Ahsan, a financial planner.

This information was given through a virtual press conference on Monday (July 26). Apart from the founders of BDM, it also included director Raihan Rafi, actor Siam Ahmed, actress Pooja Cheri, and musician Imran Mahmudul.

At that time Dipankar Dipan said, I have always worked for the promotion and dissemination of Bengali cinema. Be it my movie or someone else's. I was involved in the screening of 'Devi' and 'Poraman 2' movies in the Middle East. I wanted to help with everything on this new journey of the Bengali cinema. Because to me, the idea is very fancy, and at the time of Corona, it seemed very timely.

Waheed Siddiqui, one of the founders of BDM, said, "Even though the drive-in-show idea came to our mind 4 to 5 years ago, we started working in full force from March this year." Ensuring the security and good projection of the movie, we have fixed the date of showing 'Poramon 2' on 6th August.

Actor Siam Ahmed has expressed his excitement in this new journey of Bengali cinema in the world court. "If we can take our cinema to the international level in this way, it will bring a lot of benefits to our industry," he said. I will do whatever campaign is needed for the successful completion of the Poramon 2 drive-in show.

With the cooperation and love of all, Bangla Drive-in Movies will become a regular event, said BDM. The exhibition will be held at 7:30 pm on 7 August at the Fairfield Show Ground in Sydney. Tickets for this show will be sold through Crazy Tickets. Tickets and other information can be found on the company's website.
