Thirty-three feet ‘football magician`

A boy was born on this day 33 years ago in Rosario, Argentina. From the small town that once ruled the football world and which is still going on. The boy's name is Lionel Andres Messi. Wednesday (June 24) is the little football magician's 33rd birthday.

The news is both a source of joy and sorrow for Messi fans. I know the reason for happiness. Messi's birthday! However, at the age of 33, it means that only a few years later, the captain of Argentina and Barcelona may take off his boots. In other words, the opportunity to see the magic of the feet of one of the best footballers of all time may not be long.

In 2000, at the age of 13, Messi was spotted by Bara technical secretary Charlie Rexach. He signed a contract with the boy Messi on a napkin paper at a restaurant at the time. Then the 'wonder boy' Messi set foot in the house of Barারa's youth academy 'La Messia'. Messi, who is suffering from 'Growth Hormone Disorder', is being treated by Barাa. He later paid the highest obedience.

Messi did not have to wait long to get a place in Bar a's main team from the age group. He made his debut as a substitute in the match against Espanyol on 16 November 2003 at the age of just 17. He then scored his first goal for the Catalan Giants against Albacete. Bara was leading 1-0 until the 7th minute. The then coach Frank Rijkaard picked up star player Samuel Eto'o and dropped 16-year-old Messi. He scored just 4 minutes into the match and immediately shouted "Messi", "Messi".

Although he started wearing the number 30 jersey in the big event, Messi soon got the ownership of the iconic number 10 jersey in his own right. From then on, his race to become the best in the world. He holds the record for scoring 440 goals in La Liga history.

In 2012, the world saw the true face of Messi. His performance in the service earned him a position as an ‘alien player’. Messi, just 35 years old, surpassed Jared Mueller of the service to set a world record of 91 goals in a single season for the country and the club. In 1982, the German legend scored 75 goals for the country and Bayern Munich. Messi did not stop in the first week of December, even though he overtook Mueller. On the contrary, he surprised with a magical performance on the night of the 3-1 victory over Real Valladolid. In the 2011-12 season, Messi scored more goals than the combined goals of 13 La Liga teams.

Messi has so far won 10 La Liga, 4 Champions Leagues, 6 Copa del Rey, 3 Club World Cups and 3 European Super Cups. He has not yet won the title in his home country Argentina. Although the 2014 World Cup final, the 2015 and 2016 Copa America titles have come very close. After losing the final three times, his dream of winning the title has been shattered.

The 2014 World Cup was the biggest opportunity for Messi. Argentina almost won the final of the service. But Germany's super-sub Mario Gotze scored a surprise goal in the 113th minute and put a knife in the hearts of the Argentines. The award for the best player of the event, however, went to Messi. But the football magician dreamed of winning the World Cup.

The world has seen Messi's reign once again in 2019. He won a record sixth Ballon d'Or, reigning on the field all year. On the way to setting a record, he overtook arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo. Earlier, both of them owned 5 Ballon d'Ors. It is not a new thing to leave one another behind in the battle to be the best in the world which has been going on for almost a century. He is the only player to have won four Ballon d'Ors before the age of 26. The Messi era may come to an end in the next few years. Fans will want to enjoy the magic of his feet as much as possible before that moment of sadness comes.
